The Lyrics

On a small desert island, way out in the sea
Dreaming of rescue, that will never be
Lives a group of castaways, trying to get to the states
But they won't get to civilization
I guess it's just there fate
And as they first arrived
They thought it was swell
After a while they're thinking
This could be heaven or this could be hell
If you decide to visit the small islands castaways
When you arrive in there lagoon
I'm sure you'll hear them say

We welcome you to Gilligan's Island
Please rescue us at last
And please make it fast
We're all sick of living on Gilligan's Island
Get us out of here, we've been here for years

They get lots of visitors, and some of them are famous
But there lots of awful, awful visits, they won't rescue us
I don't know how they feel, in terms of meals
Coconuts every night, not a steak in sight

Gilligan and the skipper
The movie star and,
There's the professor, Mr. and Mrs. Howell, and Mary Ann
You can hear them calling for help from far away
They are there everyday and every night
And they'll always say

We welcome you to Gilligan's Island
Never get too far
Got no motorcar
I don't think I'd make it on Gilligan's Island
Not the place for me, no electricity

Voodoo curses on them
Things that would frighten me
There are cannibals and head hunters around every island tree
In all of the episodes
As the story goes and goes
It sure seems like everybody's
Always wearing the same clothes

The last thing I still wonder
Hold it for a note
Why couldn't all the castaways
Fix a hole in the small boat
They need a rescuer
The program was made to deceive
They are all stranded there life
‘Cause they can never leave

Cute idea, Zak...pacing's a little bit shaky, but there's a lot of potential here. 444

I agree with Kristof, Zak. Pacing needs work, and you could probably come up with more funny jokes from the whole Gilligan's Island thing --- but overall, a very clever and original idea with a lot of excellent potential.

455, I saw little of this but could identify most of your references. PS--The REAL ending ( unaired ) was that they all died and through voodoo medicine were reborn to be on Survivor.:)

A three-hour tour? A three-hour tour? So what are they doing with all those clothes? And what's the deal with the Professor? He can turn a coconut into a radio, but he can't fix a hole in the damn boat! And what's with Gilligan and the Skipper? Why doesn't one of them date Mary Ann? I'm starting to wonder about this "little buddy" business!
