The Lyrics

"This looks like an easy song to parody, I could easily get that done tomorrow" *tomorrow comes and I experience the song for the first time* "Son of a..."
I gave myself no time for this
Thought that it would be such a piece of piss
"It won't be all that bad" I said to me
That guy was really dumb as crap
Song I've never had in my playlist
Don't think I've even heard it once, you see, I'm a twit

Used to bein' a parody writer but I still fail at times
Learned a lot as a parody writer but not what's tricky, right
Still get shocks as a parody writer, what can stump this one parody writer?
Used to bein' a parody writer but I still freak sometimes
Sometimes

One verse in and I'm feelin' bad
That's a lot of friggin' ad-libs
None of 'em on the lyrics sheet, you know
And holy damn, the length of this
Don't get why some songs are eight minutes
Is it repetitive? Full of solos?

All of this time as a parody writer, still make mistakes at times
Lots of tricks learned from parody writers but not what's tricky, right
Still have fun as a parody writer but I'm not the best parody writer
All this time as a parody writer but I still freak sometimes
Sometimes

Oh my, my, my, my, my, my, it's tricky, tricky, tricky, yikes
My, my, my, my, my, my, it's tricky, tricky, tricky, yikes
My, my, my, my, my, my, it's tricky, tricky, tricky, yikes
My, my, my, my, my, my, it's tricky, tricky, tricky, yikes

Thought that my schedule would fit this one song in, looked pretty basic
No words come from my fingers, I feel totally stuck, I really hate this

Sure, I could go back and choose another, do this some other time
Pot-committal really blows, the time-sink affects ev'rything I write
Normally I'd leave this tricky nonsense to the weekend, got more time to process
All the bits my ass did not expect, comes more easily, I need more time (this is not a breeze)
More time (fault is all on me)

Oh my, my, my, my, my, my, it's tricky, tricky, tricky, yikes
My, my, my, my, my, my, it's tricky, tricky, tricky, yikes
This song's no example, I think it's pretty simple, fine
If this was somethin' that I'd call tricky, tricky, tricky, I
Wouldn't get this meta, I'd rant about some basic tripe
Traffic crud, foods I don't like, stock comic shtick, no tricky shite
At least these aren't common days, once in a blue moon, I'd say
Enough of a mental drain, sudden tricky, tricky, tricky pain

This tends to happen more often with metal songs somehow. Those dudes sure love to jam, I guess.
