The Lyrics

My second war song (first being 'Blown Up', please comment that by the way), this one being about...well this is just obvious. I just might submit this one in the December SOTM when it happens. I recently just submitted 'Transformers: Cybertron' for the November one...
Intro:
One two three uh!

Verse 1 (Hitler):
My SS don't mess around
Because they guard me so
And this I know for sure
But do they really wanna
Have to guard me, when I
Walk out the door
Don't try to fight, they're killin'
Because their thought alone is to protect me now
Thank god for my sweet dad
For changing name to Hitler
From Schicklegruber

Chorus:
Hitler (x8)

Verse 2 (Churchill):
He thinks he's got it
Ohh, he's never had it
He's never had a brain but
He will never have one
We fight together
Boy, we fight together
But peace is always better since he don't have no gun
If what they say is 'Hitler's not so bad, man'
Then why do, Then why do, Then why do
Then why do, Then why do Nazi's kill Jews?
So why oh, why oh
why oh, why oh, why oh is he so in denial
When he knows that his army's stuffed
Y'all don't want me her you just wanna fight

Chorus:
Churchill (x8) (with Ow Ow's)
Don't want to eat a pasty
I'd rather shoot a Nazi
Don't want to see Mum comma
Just want to hold a gunna
I'm, I'm, I'm just bein' honest
I'm just bein' honest

Bridge (Seargent):
Hey alright now
Alright now British (WHAT?!)
Now what's badder than ice cold tea
(HITLER!) I can't hear ya
I say what's badder than ice cold tea
(HITLER!) whooo...
Nazi, Nazi, Nazi, Nazi
Nazi, Nazi, Nazi, Nazi
Nazi, Nazi, Nazi, Nazi
Nazi, Nazi Ok now Germans (VAT?!)
We gon' shoot you right down in just a few seconds
Now don't have use shoot you right down for nothin'
Now I wanna see y'all on you baddest behaviour
Like that's not easy, you are just Nazis here we go!
Shoot 'em, Shoot 'em cause they're really big bastards! (repeat as necessary with appropriate separate 'shoot''s)
Now all King George's, and Win. Churchill's
And Pres. Roosevelt, get out and fight
You know who to shoot!
You know who to shoot!

Hitler (x8)
I decide that there's no bloody point in typing all those shoot e'ms, so i just left a note in the lyrics.

(SOTM06) Pretty good.

SOTM - Parodies that reflect more than one view are tricky, especially if the leaps in perspective are big. After Hitler and Churchill I kinda expected Roosevelt and/or Stalin to (w)rap things up so (to me) the arrival of the sergeant wasn't that "obvious" as you seem to have thought when you wrote the intro. IMHO you should have used that intro to lay out the scheme. Still a good parody though, but the presentation didn't prepare for the general layout/setup the way it could have been used to. Now, how's that for feedback? :-)

[SOTM] This was pretty good.

(SOTM) This song was a little Nazi-ating, but not bad

(SOTM) Not my favorite topic but tastefully done. You did as much as possible with TOS IMO. The changes in view were cool too. Thanks for the link, I hadn't heard this song before now.

(SOTM) Hate to say it, but I didn't find anything about this clever or even satirical. "Springtime For Hitler" makes me laugh, and even weep if the moment is right, but this....ech. To each his own, I suppose.

Before the sergeant, I was really disappointed with this parody. I think he revived it for me, so give him a raise or promote him or something because he's crazy-whack funky! 4's from me. It ain't a baller, but it's definitely ball-ish.

(SOTM) I gave you a 544. I thought it paced well but, wasn't too funny.

Wow, now HERE'S a concept that's totally out of right field. Charmingly goofy. And thanks for the excuse to listen to "Hey Ya" again, which I love but hadn't heard for a while.

SOTM - I think it's too deep for me. I see clever lines, I see satire, I see action, I just lost motivation.
Stuart McArthur - January 27, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) - I wonder if his name was Schicklegruber, whether that might have made a difference - heavy topic for parody here, conqueror - didn't get it all but kudos for taking it on
bobpiecheese - January 28, 2006 - Report this comment
It was originally Shicklegruber, but before Adolf was born his father changed it to Hitler. Hitler actually said that if had stuck with Shicklegruber, he wouldn't have taken himself seriously and wouldn't have become the Nazi leader. Pity, really...
Stuart McArthur - January 28, 2006 - Report this comment
yes, he admitted that in one of his sensitive soul-searching love letters to Eva Braun, didn't he - I knew it! - what a shame (LOL)
Jack Wilson - January 29, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Loved it!!!!!! 555!!!

(SOTM) Jeez! Way to takle a controversial subject, conqueror. Pacing could be a leeetle bit tighter, but overall not bad. 444

(SOTM) That's gotta be one of the most bizarre WW2 history lessons I've EVER seen!

(SOTM) Hmm...I'm not familiar with the OS and I kind of got lost here. I can respect the work that went into it, though.
bobpiecheese - January 30, 2006 - Report this comment
Um, I provided the OS for my entry. So (no offence) you have no excuse to not be familiar with the OS
Claude Prez - January 30, 2006 - Report this comment
I thought that "Schicklegruber" line was really funny til I realized it was actually true. Still interesting though. Not bad.
Larry Hensley - January 31, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) I just watched that Seinfeld episode where Mr. Pitt looks like Hitler. Many funny lines in this one.
Jeff Reuben - January 31, 2006 - Report this comment
SOTM: Not bad, matches the OS well.
Josh 2 - January 31, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) um, what can i say, 434. i relly dint find it that funny
Chris Frederick - February 01, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Amusing, but only Mel Brooks can make the Fuhrer laugh-out-loud funny.
