The Lyrics

The names mentioned in the chorus are all Illinois Governors that have been indicted for criminal activity.
Once a federal prosecutor wandered into Illinois
Investigating for a Grand Jury
And he talked to the media and waited for a news cycle
You’ll come indicting the governor with me

Indicting the governor, indicting the governor
You’ll come indicting the governor with me
Otto Kerner, Gerorge Ryan, Dan Walker and Blagojevich
Illinois’ indicting the governor with me

Down came a lobbyist to influence a highway bill,
Up jumped the guv , grabbed the bribe with glee,
And he sang as he shoved that money in his tucker bag,
"Don’t come indicting the governor, thats me".

Indicting the governor, indicting the governor
You’ll come indicting the governor with me
Otto Kerner, Gerorge Ryan, Dan Walker and Blagojevich
Illinois’ indicting the governor with me

Obama became President, riding on his wave of hope,
Creating a Senate vacancy,
I’ve got this bleeping golden thing, give me a cash envelope
You’ll come indicting the governor with me

Indicting the governor, indicting the governor
You’ll come indicting the governor with me
Otto Kerner, Gerorge Ryan, Dan Walker and Blagojevich
Illinois’ indicting the governor with me

Up jumped the governor to deny the obvious
I’ll make my case on reality TV
His attorney advised him “you’ll be doing federal time
With good behavior, you’ll be out in three “

Indicting the governor, indicting the governor
You’ll come indicting the governor with me
Otto Kerner, Gerorge Ryan, Dan Walker and Blagojevich
Illinois’ indicting the governor with me

G'day, mate! A REALLY good job here (I'm from Kentucky but I KNOW all these names!). In short, very Illi-noisy! ;D

Not only have they all been indicted, they've all been convicted. Good stuff, Mr. Eworm!

Thanks for your comments. I did this at a song circle two weeks ago and it got some laughs. I was surprised at last nights song circle when one of the regulars requested that I do the number again.
