Parody Song Title:

"Playboy '16 No Nudes?"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Playboy finally defeated by the Internet decides to focus on articles mixed with alluring female posing in clothing!!! End of shock value since 1953 with Marilyn Monroe...
Playboy '16 no nudes?
In decline...

No more shock value
Against sexting scores
and Internet whores!

Cultural icon lost it
No more interest is found
Circulation dropped from millions
to 800,000- profound
(Hefner, 89, couldn't rebound)

Playboy '16 no nudes?
A waste of time
Articles mainly... now fine?

No more nudes
Just posing views
Bikinis, lingerie... not lewd
Bunnies no longer admired
Hef is aware
Of Internet pornography
100% FREE decadent desires

March 2016
Playboy '16 no nudes?
Adjustment time
(Articles? Mom, you can NOW believe me!)

Note: Playboy magazine was never that great to me except as a very young boy growing up in the 1970s. My dad kept a few on top of our refrigerator to keep them out of reach, but we just used chairs to get at them. One can say back then that Playboy was a gateway porn mag which led to Penthouse, Cavalier, Cherry, Oui, High Society... and then infamous Hustler!

Many years ago I heard somewhere that there was a Braille edition of Playboy. Always wanted to see (feel?) one of those. Bet that last centerfold edition will be a collector item. Just before the mag goes "belly up". Security code for this comment "TYT". Very symmetrical. Just use the Finnish pronunciation.

When you look at the history of men's magazines in the US back in the 1950s, most were sold in brown paper bags under the table or from shady businesses with backstreet entrances. Playboy helped to move nudie pinup mags out into the open before the '60s free love revolution. During the Nazi regime which had a body cult, nudism was supported by the state and magazines were free to distribute photos of naked men and women, even children in the nude as long as the context was Aryan sports and leisure. Women's magazines even had photos of ideal Aryan men and of course German art museums featured nude patriotic Nazi statues.

I remember a book, the title of which I translated as "Say Yes to Life". It was a Third Reich era book on naturism. Lots of nude women practicing archery and playing volleyball. A few men, mostly wearing loin cloths. A friend found some old 1950's nudist magazines. B/W photos, airbrushed. The men looked somehow "deficient". A fellow I used to correspond with in Europe told me that back in the early 1980's that the German edition of Playboy featured a centerfold of a 16-year old girl. That would have gotten Hefner a life sentence in the United States.
