Phil - I even commented on that RFOMs parody and didn't even realize how close I'd come to their original. I'd had forgotten completely about this parody being out here. Oh well, I too kind of like the RFOM version better than this one. I knew when I thought of this yesterday that it had a familiar ring to it. Sorry RFOMs - I didn't mean to step on your originality.

Must admit that it's one I've considered redoing (even knowing of the RFOM parody), because it comes to mind nearly every time I hear them say "Bush and Kerry" on the telly :-)

Good parody, but this is an easy choice. I'll even put it the way the first JFK did in 1960, adapted for 2004: If you think that everything that is being done now to protect our security, grow our economy and protect our freedoms is enough, then vote for Bush. But if your eyes are open... No, that's not what Kennedy said. Here are his words, with "Communists" replaced with "terrorists:" "If you feel that we have to move again in the sixties, that the function of the President is to set before the people the unfinished business of our society, as Franklin Roosevelt did in the thirties, the agenda for our people, what we must do as a society to meet our needs in this country and protect our security and help the cause of freedom --as I said at the beginning, the question before us all that faces all Republicans and all Democrats, is: Can freedom in the next generation conquer, or are the terrorists going to be successful? Michael P--you're right it's an easy choice--the guy who voted against getting Hussein out of Kuwait (Kerry) is the guy I'm now voting against.

Doubter: It wasn't some liberal Democrat who ignored all warnings and let New York be attacked. It wasn't some liberal Democrat who let bin Laden get away because of some damn stupid obsession with Saddam Hussein. Besides, the terrorists have left New York City. They've all gone back to New England. (Sorry, Johnny and the rest, but it was an irresistible line, and besdies, New York has never "celebrated" a championship by rioting.)

You paced this very well "On gay marriage, on gay marriage, Edwards and Kerry both did miscarriage" .. .but I strongly disagree with the sentiment as they didn't feel the need to make a constitutional ammendment like Bush does that would basically put discrimination in the constitution. Clearly you are a republican--I myself am not affiliated with either party as I've said elsewhere--but to me any regulation of anyone's rights that doesn't infringe on someone else's is disgusting so I'll give you pacing, but funny and overall It's hard to laugh at stuff like that.
