The Lyrics

The greatest website in Internet history.
Let me write: "Dear Chucky",
This is the only site I roam,
I'll miss it, dear Chucky,
You're moving it to a new home,

Your site is saying,
"Eight more days until we leave",
We'll all be paying,
Tributes all throughout next week,

Please hear us, dear Chucky,
You're giving up dear AmIRight,
I'm warning you, Chucky,
You're sure responsible tonight,

Look out where you're heading,
MSN News will be trending,
So, save it, dear Chucky,
Before it's too late!
Editor's note: On the original recording, no vocalist is credited on the 78rpm label. The78Prof suggests that it is Lew Conrad, but the vocalist sounds more like Coleman's tenor sax player, Stanley Worth, to me. To quote RatPfink66: "Lew had crisp diction and sang perfectly in tune, essentials for recording. I think a constant regular vibrato was also desired...singing as an instrument would play, not conversationally. A nice tone quality was pleasant to have, but probably not indispensable. Lew didn't have that. He sounds like he's swallowed mustache wax to protect his vocal cords." Conrad and Worth had two entirely different voice styles, which is evident in their recordings for Emil Coleman's orchestra. Listen and decide for yourself here.
