Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Frankenstein's monster has a bit of a self-image crisis.
Intro: Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah…

Verse 1: Awake and I’m grumbling
It’s shocking, I’m talking and stumbling
I live again, Doc calls me his proud creation
Experimentation
Bind ten stiffs and add lightning, we’ll see
So I maybe green, I don’t give a hoot
Cuz all the Franken-babes think that I’m electri-cute
Go on stomping, do just like this
Don’t bend due to onset rigor mortis
And I scare all you like a stalker to a star
Need a few more bolts like a Potter with a scar
Come on let the freak show take the stage
But leave out the flames and blaze!
I said…

Chorus: I am something else
I’m not quite human
Frankenstein kinda life
Peasants, peasants
I’m no monstrous elf!
I’m not dangerous, there’s no way!
Riot!

Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah…

Verse 2: My head is square, neck has bolts
I am taking shocks from them, twenty volts
And I wish I could climb back there
Someplace back there
Screaming from the sight of poor old me
Wanna do pull-ups, but then I have to find a tree
I’m not mean, I won’t sack towns or kill teens
I’m a quick-wit monster, who wants to be seen
And then I’m chased down
I ran faster than a Robin Hood
I am misunderstood, and that’s just no good
I said how can I live life like you?
Outside a circus or freak show type zoo
How do I fit myself into this space that we live?

Chorus: I want something else
I just can’t do this
Frankenstein kinda life
Doctor, Doctor
I want something else
I’m won’t flee when you grab
Your fires!

Bridge: I believe I’ll have sand beneath my toes
A beach with bikinis, and some martinis
Wishing my bod won’t decompose
And those epic words that, “He’s alive!”
When I hear them I won’t feel I should die
And I could be all right, all right…

Verse 3: But when the town burst in
Their torches were blazing
Their pitchforks are poised for a killing
Was shocked with a surge now I’m alive
But now I’m struggling to survive
Those days I was rotting in sev’ral tombs
Now I’m exhumed, and you assume
That gross formaldehyde has strong ass fumes
Bust in and try to kill me, escape under the moon
Done…
I am lonely, hated Franken
Still it’s all that I really am
Just accept it now!
Love myself, head shaped like a box
I use pillowcase-sized socks
Who cares?
And I won’t run for my life
I’ll take this whole town, no doubt with a smile
And that would be all right, all right…

Chorus: I don’t want something else
Because I love my life
Maybe, you want something else
Cuz you are very sad…
With life…
With life…
With life…
Not mine!

Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah

Outro: The skies my roof, it won’t move
I am dancing can’t stop my Franken-groove
And I wish I could go back there
Sometime back there, in the times it was so hard
I am no one else…

(SOTM) Great month for "spooky" parodies. This is hilariously catchy and appropriate for Halloween. Nice grunting and falsetto. I love how you utilized the classic tropes and cliches of the horror monster genre. 555

Oct 2012 SOTM: Man, that's gotta be a hard song to parody. I couldn't understand half of the original lyrics! I liked the unlikely scenario of the monster at the beach: "I believe I’ll have sand beneath my toes, A beach with bikinis, and some martinis"

Frankenstein's monster is such a tragic figure, but those East European peasants are misunderstood too, I think they only want to see his birth certificate...

Great work getting through this tough OS, Blayde. The first verse was inspired, with the 'electri-cute' line, the 'rigor-mortis' line, and the 'Potter' reference. Tombs/exhume/assume/fumes/moon also stood out.

I'm a sucker for puns, and you had me with the 'electri-cute' line too. I love the original song and you did a really nice job with this, great work!

SOTM...this really made me smile...I pictured Peter Boyle's Frankenstein the whole time...:). I also really liked the Monster on the beach imagery...I love taking things out of their regular element...nice work!

SOTY...FINALLY a parody I've already seen. I was starting to feel like I'd missed the whole year. Haha. Love this, still, Blaydeman.
