Got my classes the other day,
"But there's something wrong!" I say,
Cause I notice first class is Band.
Well, I sure didn't pick that one.
I know it won't be any fun,
Cause none of my friends are taking band.

I guess I should go,
And put on a good show,
Cause now my mark depends on it.
I'll try my best,
And I'll keep trying.

Now two whole months just have flown by,
And I've done nothing but try.
Seems only I can keep on beat.
Our teacher's so fed up with us,
And I don't want to make a fuss.
But why can no one stay on beat?

It's pretty easy after all.

After all, I AM the only one that does decide the beat.
