The Lyrics

The third in the "the night Kermit went crazy" trilogy, after Piggy Miss Piggy and Blaster of Muppets (a collaboration with Jimmy J)
There's utter mayhem down in Sesame Street
Dismembered heads and puppet-y feet
'Cause another "Crazy Frog"
Has flipped and run amok
And he's shooting up everything
This psycho-Kermit, he has eyes so cold
There are so many puppets that he's filled with holes
And it's taking oh, so long
For the cops to come along
As he's making that Big Bird sing

You used to think he was a nice Kermy
So sweet and green he was a nice Kermy
But it's a froggy
It's a froggy hunt
In the midst of this, someone odd, he's
Enumerating all the dead bodies
'Cause he's silly
He's the silly Count

All round the Street there's bits all over the place
Here Ernie's ear, there a Fuzzy Face
And Frazzle's must be dead
'Cause I think I see his head
And not much more of anything

There's bits of muppet-stuffing everywhere
A cold-porridge-looking Baby Bear
Been hittin' Bert with whips
And Cookie's had his chips
Bits of fluff over everything

And you know he'll always keep shootin'
You know he's never gonna stop shootin'
'Cause he's crazy
He's crazy now

And the cops are calling "You, Kermit
Hands up, face down - or we shoot, Kermit"
You're goin'
You're goin' down
"Sesame Street" was brought to you today by the letter X, as in "It is no more, it has ceased to be. This is an X-Muppet"

I think I know this song. At least I know a song with the same title by a band called International Undercover (or maybe just Undercover, I'm not 100 % sure, but I had it on one of the cassettes I used most often while running before I got my MP3 player). Anyway, this scan very well with that song. 5s. It also brought to mind a movie by Peter Jackson (Yes, LotR Peter Jackson) called "The Feebles" that is a "The Muppet Show" parody and where the miss Piggy substitue (a hippopotamus if I remember correctly) goes beserk in the finale and shoots up everything. It's probably PJ least known and most easily forgotten work (it came after "Bad Taste" and "Braindead" but before "The frighteners") but for anyone who grew up with the Muppets it might be worth a look if it shows up on the programming menu one night.

Fantastic job. Except, as my own "Sesamian Rhapsody" suggested, we all know that if any of the Fake Fur Crew is gonna just lose it, it's gonna be Elmo. And we KNOW that TSB likes Prairie Dawn. He's written more parodies about her than I have about Catherine Zeta-Jones... and THAT is sick. Peter: Sounds like "The Rutles Do the Muppets."

FAntastic OS, and great parody. Even though I have never seen Sesame Street, this was easy to follow. 555

"Been hittin' Bert with whips" ... there's GOT to be a B & D / S & M "Sesame Street" parody-concept squirming around inside there somewhere!
