The Lyrics

Part 4 in our Bible Parody Series and an audience participation one! :-D
Eve was boring and I'd no pastime
Till Sunday looked up to find God flying around my head
He ordered: aaaa-ppellate things

Then sigh-ted combly and beaky somethings
And so they come: some things long, some paired
Stripes and spots some shared
And some so rare
All shapies

You are the man; name'd be a boon
We are some ____s, in our cocoon
Name me!

Throngs they came to me, all var-i-eties
Herds that claimed of me: fine i-dentities
Swarms in flight
Small things alight, aflame-y

I'm simian, I'm a ______
We are some _____s, please no harpoon
Name me!

And so they come a-nigh howl'n' and woofin'
And others, so very horned and hoofen
A title chase, a fauna race for labelies

You are A-dam; I.D. me soon
We are some ____s - fly out in June
Name me!

You need a hat? I'm a ______
Web-footed ____ - call me a ____
Name me-e-e-e....!

Well, not being very familiar with the Bible(I think I might have skimmed the "Cliff Notes" version once)I'm kinda lost here...Isn't it a bitch when members of the audience are DKTOP (Don't Know The Original Psalm)? So, anyway, this one might be heavenly, but the references, though they may be flying low, are still over my head...
