"Missing Old Chips"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

My favorite chips used to be Laura Scudder's, along with her dips... which seemed to disappear when the chips began changing with new flavors and the arrival of Pringles in the can. Laura Scudder's was the first to make the chips in a sealed bag starting with the workers who used wax paper and then moving to cellophane. The chips were also the first food to be dated for freshness and of course Laura Scudder's introduced the Sour Cream & Onion chips as well as the same type of dip. But the company fell into financial trouble and has been bought out and sold many times over. I still do not know if they are available in California or at all. I think the mini-bags are available online sorta like what happened to my favorite old cereal Product 19...
It’s tough missing old chips
My favorite of all
Laura Scudder’s topped my list
Were “noisiest” of all
With her dips they were mixed
Sour Cream & Onion best of all
Q: Do they still exist at all???

Today, we’ve got Ruffles and Lays
Many flavors and with waves
With assorted dips-the same way
But a higher cost I do pay!

Thought those chips would last forever
It’s too bad about the company
So I’ll buy another bag of chips
And try to remember to forget

My old favorite

It’s tough missing old chips
My favorite of all
Laura Scudder’s topped my list
Were “noisiest” of all
With her dips they were mixed
Sour Cream & Onion best of all
Q: Do they still exist at all???

This parody's good enough to double dip.

Maybe I'll find them someplace online. I re-discovered Double Cola in Tenn., space food sticks from NASA, Bubble-Up came back to Bel Air for a while, and the Curly Wurly bars are cheap imitations of the old Marathon Bar. I still have a bottle of New Coke sealed as a collector's item! Have had many offers for it but am saving it.

We started out with Dan-Dee. They went away and then had Salems. Dan-Dee is available again, but doesn't taste the same. Would kill to have Salems back. I eat Lays, but I'm not crazy about them.
