The Lyrics

...as sung by a member of the donner party...
i'm munchin' dear ol' brethren
they're greasy, if you fry
ol' valley snowed us
among us, many died
i'm munchin' hallowed people
livin' on this way

i'm munchin' dear ol' cousins
they're really hard to chew
something to grill, they're done for
but so darn fillin', too
i'm munchin' hallowed people
slippin' knife in niece

you may say i'm obscene, here
but i'm just a hungry one
no joke, i crave some donuts
but the herd will fill my tum

i'm munchin' on relations
pretendin' that its ham
its meat, i need, for hunger
i'd rather cook up lamb
i'm munchin' hallowed people
scarin' up some grub

you may say i'm obscene, here
but i'm just a hungry one
no joke, i crave some donuts
but the herd will fill my tum

On rashers, on "hamburg" that's rancid, on schnitzel, some vomit, that new kid named Donner was gristle. Gruesomely hilarious!

Very clever. Reading this at lunchtime makes me hungry. Reminds me of my "Cannibal Christmas" parody.

Well written Alvin and I'll have seconds on the "Alive" movie Mark, I think I just saw that special on cable not too long ago...wasn't that a soccer team eating teammates? 555 goals on this one!

Almost as sickening as TOS! ... guess the movie could star "Donner" Reed. Guess now we know the origin of the name, "Sierra Nevada" (snowy, saw-toothed) refers to the saws and teeth of the party. Feast on these Fives, not on my left flipper, please!

That was funny. As much as I dig The Beatles I've always hated, Hated, HATED this OS but I still wouldn't say it's his worst. Ever heard Don't Worry Kyoko?

Yer gonna do ours next, arencha? These Wikidudes tell of it:

"Timothy" is a song written by Rupert Holmes and recorded by the Buoys in 1971, presenting the unnerving story of three men trapped in a collapsed mine, two of whom apparently resort to cannibalism against the third (the titular character Timothy). Despite being censored or even banned outright by many U.S. radio stations due to its subject matter, the song managed to reach #17 on the Billboard Hot 100, making the Buoys one of the most unlikely one-hit wonders in American music history."

And check our cool, Donnerish lyrircs:

Trapped in a mineshaft that caved in
And everyone knows the only ones left
Were Joe and me and Tim
When they broke through to pull us free The only ones left to tell the tale
Were Joe and me
....
My stomach was full as it could be
And nobody ever got around
To finding Timothy

I would never eat human flesh and would probably sacrifice myself for the sake of others' survival in a Donner Party-like situation (I weigh about 200 pounds and am fairly tall, so I would feed several people for at least a couple of days), but I enjoyed this parody. I also enjoyed grossing people out with stories of the Donner Party as well as other, more recent instances of cannibalism such as Jeffrey Dahmer, the marooned soccer-players in the Andes Mountains and Nathaniel Bar-Jonah as a kid. Here are 555 helpings of human liver, fava beans and Chianti, as preferred by Hannibal Lecter and prepared by Andria.
