Original Song Title:

"My God"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Jethro Tull

Parody Song Title:

"IPod"

Parody Written by:

Paul Robinson

The Lyrics

Another OS off of Tull's fine "Aqualung" album from the early 70's. This one has only been used once on the site to date. During the lengthy instrumental part in the middle of the OS there is a chorus of "Ha's" or some similar sound. Use the lyrics in {brackets} to cover those repetitions and repeat as needed to match and pace them.
[instrumental intro]

Jeez, that was really dumb
got me storming now in rage...I'm enraged
Made a senseless, dumb decision
an incorrect one, I must say...I'm dismayed

This damn IPod; it does stink
I am galled; I was deceived
'Cause it does not do everything
that sales guy promised me...

I scream at him; I'm angry
and I squall at him, "You knave, dude"...was frayed, ooh
That dumb dude just made faces
"I sure think that's screwed", I brayed...I felt betrayed

"This stuff I purchased stinks, man
Explain this sh*t to me"
He said, "I heard your message"
Then that d*ckhead; he did leave!

[lengthy instrumental jam]
{Ha-ha-ha-ha}
{He laughed, "Ha-ha"}
{It pissed me off}
{A fit I tossed}
{Was at a loss}
{Looked for his boss}
[etc]

[flute solo, then more instrumental jamming]
[back to quiet flute and piano]

Was enraged at this stage; I did brood
As this bastard I was pissed...want him dismissed
'Cause that fool was rude to me; that's no lie...
Now I'm howling at that pr*ck...he made me sick

"Not messing with you", said to him
"Let's settle this right now", (Oh, yeah)
Then I faced him up and cursed then
"Dude, your dumb-ass I will pound!"

[instrumental jam and then back to flute out to end]

What a maroon, eh? Not really. While you're screaming about your iPod, scream about my computer, too. Deal? Slipshod people. : ) 5's
