Parody Song Title:

"When Governments Borrow"

Parody Written by:

Barry J. Mitchel

The Lyrics

I speak for the average US citizen who sees local, state and federal governments spending beyond what revenue they can collect. CHFUDNKTOS.
When budget sums sprout, you borrow.
Let poor falling dollars
That you borrow herald, "Flee, run!"

Just thinkin' of how you've borrowed,
Fears may sway the Chinese;
On the morrow, lending's done.

When they're stuck with a fin
That's fey and phony,
They must thicken their skin
And grin and say, "Whoa!"

They won't bail you out tomorrow.
Close a lotta banks with nil to borrow,
Some that may.

When millions and billions
Are dovetailed to trillions,
Your lenders can stay away.

Faux money comes out tomorrow,
Shows you gotta wangle still some more dough,
Come what may.

To borrow brews sorrow;
When governments borrow,
Our progeny pays some day.
It's called "kickin' the can down the road." But the road is uphill.

BJM - Leaping lizards! Daddy Warbucks sees this coming, but the administration doesn't. Looks like it's going to be a hard knock life for us. This is Tony Award caliber. ;D

A bushel of dollars for a loaf of bread. Ever see a Zimbabwe note? Signs in neighboring countries warned people not to flush Zim Dollars in the toilets. Explains the economic mess we're in in terms so simple only a congressman couldn't understand them.

OMR: Thanks a trillion! My ego is exploding faster than QE2. LOL!
Patrick: I hope enough in Congress understand, so inflation doesn't go hyper.

I'll lend you three fins.

JB: Thanks, I can use them; but don't expect interest or repayment any time soon. ;-)
I meant "fin" as short for any financial instrument, not a $5 bill.
