The Lyrics

As far as I'm concerned, it's "Barack", where the "ack" has the same vowel sound as "cat". You wanna say "Ba-rahck", go right ahead.
In a party that has no ideas
Where a one-eyed man would be the king
They keep looking ‘til they find a fresh new face who’s
On the very left wing
Out of Harvard by way of Jakarta Day School
He rides in upon a golden steed
Don't bother asking for explanations
They’re convinced he’s what they need
It’s the year of Barack

He doesn't answer any questions
On the issues he gets a pass
But they follow him because it seems correct and
Their head is up their ass
He's so bright and clean even Howard Dean
Doesn't feel an urge to scream or yell
Tell Hillary to take a hike
This guy’s much easier to sell
We'll cheer ya Barack

Well, they’re through with guys named Johnny
And Joe Biden needs a lot more IQ
They’ll soon be facing Giuliani
And Obama is just the guy to break through
We hear ya, Barack

They’ll worship him until they dump him
When his suit reveals no-one inside
Then they’ve somehow got to cobble up a ticket
That won’t yield them a schneid
And the painful scar of Mondale-Ferraro
Makes all of them a bit insane
That's why they'll choose Al Gore to lead them
But for now they all remain
Just revering Barack

In the year of Barack

Nice try. Too many pacing blips, not enough humor. 333

As Dogbert once tried to explain to Ratbert (with little success), people neither want politicians to lie to them, nor to tell them the ugly truth. Barack is apparently attempting one of the middle routes: saying nothing as grandly as possible.

Or "Brack" Obama, as some of us like to call him; it's a fitting name for a source of so much hot air and empty noise.
