I’m evincing a bunch of joy;
I’m in a shekels squall.
I’d blown dough and was frightened…
thought I had lost it all.
But then one night my ship came in,
and I wasn’t in debts thrall.
My wealth no longer slim—
I had a green windfall.

I skirted some statues
in order to get the green.
Was fudging the numbers,
and did it unseen.
All came to fruition;
in large banknotes I lolled.

to amass all the wealth.

to gather the pelf.
It’s done without delay;
now I’m standing tall.
My purse no longer slim—
Lucre—a green windfall!

I thought I’d be
out on the street to live.
But now I’ve got swag;
away none will I give.

Now, to buy toys I am able—
so what shall I get?
Got a pile that I can spend;
and I’ll do that, you bet!
