Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Moochin’"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Moochin’ off everyone in the room,
spielin’ about his imminent doom.

It’s imagined, his finances are threatened;
he useds onions to keep his eyes wettened.
He angles for their sympathy when he’s
boo-hooin’—that is just one of his moves.
Screwin’ suckers gets him in the groove.

There’s lots of tricks in his chicanery;
they go for them, though it is plain to see:
He’s shafting people, a liar and cheat who’s
moochin’ off everyone in the room,
speakin’ to them in a voice of doom.
Woe, woe, woe—faux.

He’ll keep on gettin’ suckers with his plays.
He talks so sweetly that they miss his ways.
And so they make for him a big payday—
buy his kvetchin’ spree, ply him their treasury.

Losin’ loot as they are played for goons…
fleecin’ them with phony tales of doom—
oh woe! so faux.

Moochin’—
suckers cough up.
