She makes hot ash and steam
When volcanoes blow, hot lava it flows
My skin it is searing
Rocks flong all inclined – some boulder-y kind
They’re so unforgiving

Mt Etna lays ‘bove ‘talian eyes
Await their big surprise
When St Helens blowed, a part of hill goed
Was hard to outlive it
Lahars they did slide, so far and so wide
They so cruelled the living
Down Inca way
Little girls, over rim were thrown
To keep Gods at bay
A religion sat-ed scream...
Vesuvius blowed as Pompeiians know
Snuffed folks, left them sizzling
Now but it’s beguiled, it’s loved not reviled
Tell those who’re once living!
When Krakatoa’s one mighty blast
Covered the world in dust
Red sunset days, tsunamis rised
And then large loss of life
What am I supposed to do
With stuff hurled from volcanoes
Penalised when lived beside
As it makes one big smokescreen

I’m full of misgivings...
