The Lyrics

I didn't see the infamous Hardball episode, so I don't know if she actually accused Kerry of intentionally shooting himself, or Matthews put words into her mouth, but I know that beforehand, she had read the Swifties' book, while he had not.
Michelle, do tell
Why did Matthews give you so much hell?
Why, Michelle?

Michelle, did you
Say that Kerry went and shot himself?
Tell us, Michelle

I warn you, I warn you, I warn you, that's what say you said
Until they're in your head,
They will find the foulest words they know to put in your mouth

Michelle, dites vous
Que Kerry s'ai atteint d'un coup de fusil, coup de fusil?

They're coming, they're coming, they're coming, illegal aliens
Coyotes on the run
We all should see the garbage heap they've made of their trail

I hear you (instrumental)

I want you, I want you, I want you, want to you to tell us now
You'll get get your voice somehow
Until you do I'm telling you they won't understand

Michelle, dites vous
Que Kerry s'ai atteint d'un coup de fusil, coup de fusil?

And until they let her speak her mind,
They won't understand our Michelle

Shouldn't that be "Que Kerry s'est atteint. . ."? Bon parodie.

Tres bon parodie, Etienne. This link, Self-inflicted wounds?, gives Michelle Malkin's account of her experience on Hardball with Chris Matthews. She simply mentioned that in the book Unfit for Command, some veterans who were with John Kerry in Vietnam had cast a lot of doubt on whether enemy fire occurred when Kerry received his shrapnel wounds and suggested that the injury might have been the result of Kerry firing a grenade from his grenade launcher too close. Chris Matthews, who admitted that he had not read the book, tried to distort her statement and, eventually, did not let her discuss her book, which was her original reason for being on Hardball. And, of course, your title is a clever play on her book title.

Great pacing, rhymes generally well-preserved, decent attempt at keeping the French where the original had it (even if you did make a grammatical mistake as Monsieur claims--I wouldn't know, speaking only English and the Nordic languages). Topic choice is a good contrast with the original too...fives all round!

Ah, Etienne, tu es trop modeste. Je pense que ton francais (ou sont mes accents?) est assez bien, et de ce que j'ai vu, tes parodies sont tres bien fait.

Ah, Steven, you are too modest. I think that your french (where are my accents?) is fine, and from what I've seen, your parodies are very well done.
