Song Parodies -> "Binary Date Day"

Original Song Title:

"Eleanor Rigby"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Binary Date Day"

Parody Written by:

Guy DiRito

The Lyrics

There are roughly 36,575 days in a century. One of the rarest forms of a six number date combination is the presence of all binary numbers in a given date. This only occurs 36 times in a century and has already occurred since the year 2000 eighteen times. I call this phenomenon a "Binary Date Day". I have listed all the date combinations below at the top part of the parody text but they are not part of the lyrics. Just something different to write: Enjoy.
01/01/00 01/10/00 01/11/00 10/01/00 10/10/00 10/11/00 11/01/00 11/10/00 11/11/00
01/01/01 01/10/01 01/11/01 10/01/01 10/10/01 10/11/01 11/01/01 11/10/01 11/11/01
01/01/10 01/10/10 01/11/10 10/01/10 10/10/10 10/11/10 11/01/10 11/10/10 11/11/10
01/01/11 01/10/11 01/11/11 10/01/11 10/10/11 10/11/11 11/01/11 11/10/11 11/11/11

Ah, look at all the bin'ry numbers,
Ah, look at all the bin'ry numbers,

Binary date day
It appears thrice in three months in a year that it's seen,
Rare jelly bean.
One and a zero
Zip and an ace, are the numbers and there ain't any more.
Hard to ignore.

All the Bin'ry numbers,
No number more than one.
All the bin'ry numbers,
That date looks somehow wrong.

Number bi-nar-y,
Food thought for nerds, who determine, how many, what year,
Stuff they revere.
It's just a quirking,
Someone like Spock,
Can recite all the dates that are rare.
If you would care.

All the Bin'ry numbers,
No number more than one.
All the bin'ry numbers,
That date looks somehow wrong.

Calendar Rar'ty,
Do some research and get carried away with this game,
Brainstorm your brain.
Dates in bi-nar-y,
Be an expert find some trends that will mock an octave,
Start a new wave.

All the Bin'ry numbers,
No number more than one.
All the bin'ry numbers,
That date looks somehow wrong.

Thanks JD, 1000101011 is way better than what the ones guy would give me and that would be 1101111. Maybe the one's guy never learned to count past two and since there is no zero out there on the voting all he can do is triple ones?

101, 101, 101, and that's not an LA traffic report. Way to give 'em the old 01-10, Guy. Get it? "The old one-ten," instead of "the old one-two." Well, don't be sad, 'cause 10 out of 11 ain't bad. See you during the 1100 days of Christmas. Did I just create a monster with these binary jokes?

Guy, you are lucky that with all these ones floating around that you-know-who hasn't struck, he/she seems to have hit most other songs today! Good job!
