The Lyrics

Since I started, now I have to finish. More Beatle parodies. This is dedicated to my ex.
I'm looking through you
You've got a hole
It's where I blew you
With the gun I stole
You sure look different
With a missing part
I'm looking through you
Now you have no heart

Your lips aren't kissing
Now they're on the floor
Your voice was hissing
Now it grates no more
I tried but I was no understood
I'm looking through you
And you're looking good

Why, tell me why did you not give a damn?
Love has a nasty habit of turning into Vietnam

You're now a pleasure
To look upon
You were a nuisance
But now you're gone
Now things are different
Get used to it
I'm looking through you
And you look like s**t

Why, tell me why did you not get a life?
Love has a nasty habit of making a real bitch ex-wife

You look so fine, dear
Lying in state
You took your time, dear
But I couldn't wait
Now things are different
Get used to it
I'm looking through you
And you look like s**t

This is my favorite Beatles song (no really), The title made me laugh and the song lived up to it. Great job.

funny... the title made me think of my favorite song from Chicago (Mr. Cellophane). But the lyrics reminded me rather of some OTHER songs from the same musical ;-). Nice job.

Rick - I was checking out what had been done with this song because I'm thinking of using it. Like your parody, Funny-as-hell. Didn't think pace wasn't totally perfect but it was pretty damned close. Gave you 5's... Doesn't look like many folks remember the original song, though, only 1 vote prior to mine and two comments...??? Oh, well, doesn't matter, I think I want to do a parody to it anyway. If only one person reads and enjoys it that's enough for me.

Yeah, this is one of my "Ex-wife" rants. I would have rewritten it, but Mari loved it. I noticed a typo, but as far as pacing, I have a recording, and it works well singing it.

Rick, did not mean to sound all that critical of the pace. The typo did throw me because I didn't recognize it as a typo. It was an excellent parody and I especially liked the "Why, tell me why..." sections. They were both sharp and wacky, two of my favorite parody classifications.

Coolishly ghoulish.
