The Lyrics

Talking head commentary is littered with inane standards such as “There’s no ‘there’ there,” oft uttered with an exaggerated air of authority and truth. They’re all iron rakes scraping a chalkboard in my skull, a fetid fouling of our discourse…an’ dis is de ode I rant about ’em in. Here the phrasing, punctuation, repetition, etc., are intentionally tortured and torturous, an apt tribute to the targeted tropes and those who wield them.
There’s the There’s No “There” There Man
Hailing from No “There” There Land
Making There’s No “There” There stands there on TV

That’s his only point of view
Loves to say “There, there” to you
But that’s neither here nor there, you see

No “There” Man, denying *
I can see that you’re lying
No “There” Man, the “there”’s right there in your hand

Now, at the end of the day
“No ‘there’” just sounds weird to say
No “There” Man, you’re a cliché. Voilà!

No “There” man, amazing
That you use such phrasing
To what end? A Nothing Burger
Lands in your hand

That’s his only point of view
Loves to say “There, there” to you
But that’s neither here nor there, you see

No “There” Man, you’re reaching
Do you hear what you’re preaching?
No “There” Man, this can’t be God’s master plan

There’s the There’s No “There” There Man
Hailing from No “There” There Land
Making There’s No “There” There stands there on TV
Spouting trite and tired statements endlessly
Using them for everything from A to Z

* Background vocals sing “Blaaaah, blah blah blah blah” throughout

Right now I'm in a high noise environment, so I will have to read the lyrics again in a quieter place so I can "hear" them in my head. I'm grasping your phrasing, and it's quite funny. This is a good OS for parodying politicians and media personalities. A clever phrase all too quickly clichés. I'm Patrick McWilliams and I approve this comment.

Erudite and perfectly paced. (5's-wise They’re likely willing to go There , but it will depend on Their acuity).

Patrick, I hear you -- thanks for listening, and approving your praise.
Gertie, you as well -- now I know where to lay the blame.
Thanks for being There for me, TJC and Melanie Lee.
