The Lyrics

A newbie's progression...
Hey noob, don't take it bad
Huff a weed bong and you'll get better
Remember to make sure you do your part
So that everything will get better

Hey noob, don't be afraid
You just have to sign in and you're there
The minute you let it sink to your skin
Then you can try to make lives unfair

And everytime you've met a troll, hey noob, refrain
Don't try to fight that punk upon those boulders
For well you know that it's a trool who plays a fool
By making your world a little older

Hey noob, don't let us down
You have done it, now go and hit it
Remember to make sure you do your part
Then you can try to make things unfair

Now come on out and get back in, hey noob, begin
You're waiting for someone to cyber with
And don't you know that it's just you, hey noob, dig in
The movement you need is in your bandwidth

Hey noob, don't take it bad
Take a chill pill and you'll feel better
The minute you let it sink to your skin
Then you can try to make lives
Unfair, unfair, unfair, unfair, unfair, unfair, lol

Na na na na na ,na na na, hey noob...
...to his status as a mod

You know, cleaning out the cookies all over again just so you can down vote my parody shows that you're lower than noobs when it comes to that. At least leave a comment you coward.
McKludge - October 30, 2008 - Report this comment
Yeah, I don't get it Max. Who did you piss off to leave six UnoBombs?
Max Power - October 30, 2008 - Report this comment
I believe it may have something to do with the fact that I defended Pacholek about a year ago when he was getting bombed as well, I disagree with him for the most part but the fact that his parodies were being downvoted due to the subject was pretty stupid, since then his one bombing have receded but One Zarqawi have turned his attention to me since then. Some people needs serious help as far I can tell you.

Hey Max - this ain't half bad. I loved how you played off the internal rhyme and your pacing is spot on. Being a professional geek since right after dirt was invented I especially enjoyed your ref to "Bandwidth". Such a totally geek thing to write and I mean that as an entire complement. To parody a Carole King OS Title:

You got that mirth groove wonder of geek!

And yes, the ones... tsk tsk... I never pay much attention to the voting. It is the comments that say it all for the writer. I just figure if somebody ones me that means that I have really gotten their attention especially if my parody is controversial which is usually the norm for me. I find if you pay them no attention then they usually give up since their entire need to get a life unfortunately manifests itself in the frustration that others are able to do parody well and the only attention they can get is of the negative kind and they are so cowardly that they will not leave their identity. And it is sad that the only life they have is virtual and anonymous.

You mentioned Michael Pacholec - now this is a guy who is not afraid to spell out a bad critique and leave his entire name to readily identify him. I respect him greatly for that even though we often clash with our ideals, he is a most excellent writer.

Well, Max, I'm writing 5s all over this for what it's worth and I hope you enjoy the warm comment above the cold vote.

Maybe you can contact Chucky and see if he can erase the series of 1's. That's just plain as*holery right there. (SOTM comment to follow later)

Seriously I don't know who keeps doing this, but whoever it is needs to stop because it's really immature. This has happened on every parody that you've entered into SOTM so far, and I'm getting kinda sick of it, as I'm sure you are too. But this parody was pretty good, and it doesn't deserve all those ones!

Your title made me laugh out loud, Max. Well done and good use of the original. Don't pay any mind to the one's guy. If you do, he or she wins. I just laugh that a parody I wrote could inspire such a strong emotion in someone. I say leave 'em. It's a testament to the emotion you inspired, for what that's worth. Umm... I have a request. Could I do a version of this song using the same refrain? Just reading yours rekindled my inner n00b geek. Anyhow, let me know you thoughts on me submitting a parody and using the same title. If for whatever reason it is not cool, just let me know. I'll give yours credit for inspiring me in the case that it's OK with you.

correction, same title. Sorry mis-typed. Just tell me to go away and I will.

It's okay for me, I'm not like that dude who accused me of stealing his "Ugly Drag Queen" parody.
Agrimorfee - November 13, 2008 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Not a perfect work, but it certainly doesn't deserve 1s. "Trool"? I wish you had used something besides "unfair". 444.
Max Power - November 13, 2008 - Report this comment
Trool is troll + tool

I've been waiting for more than a year to get the security code SUX for the comments field, it's TOTALLY inappropriate that it finally showed up here and now, because... Hey You, it ain't so bad...

(SOTM) Nice job with the title. Way to stick it out despite the immaturity of some-one(s). A few pacing errors, but overall worthy.

(SOTM) With my apologies, though I know the OS and followed along, I don't get the references. Can someone clue me in?
bobpiecheese - November 27, 2008 - Report this comment
(SOTM) This was okay, Max. I don't get what all the 'tryto make it unfair' line is all about, but otherwise this was good - definitely not worth 33 111's. Have some 5's!

Some people would become mods so they can abuse their power.

Well, the 1's are insane as usual, I don't know whose bad side you got on. Anyhow, in my opinion a lot of the original song hung around in your parody which was kinda distracting. The pacing and rhyme scheme were also a little shaky. The idea was great, just needs a little more time in the editing department.
