The Lyrics

....thank you parody authors for all the laughs and thought provoking moments you have given me in 2007...a happy 2008 to you all...
for the benefit of amiright
there will be a show tonight
it should be keen
the parodists will all be there
with their latest songs to share
what a scene
all these men and women, loopy authors
these are all the thoroughbreds of satire
in their way, these folks crazed, will scramble the words

the celebrated will parade
the latest feats that they have made
to titillate
participants will chant and sing
while others vote upon the things
they create
they will demonstrate before the public
their productions will be clever and fun
and of course, there'll be recourse, if they are schmaltz

the show begins at ten to six
then all the folks display the tricks
that they have found
then all their mates will give a rate
they'll separate the real from fake
stale from profound
all spent days in preparation
a splendid time is guaranteed for all
for tonight, amiright, is ready to kill

Great tribute to a great site. A site that helped me to love my parody habit. . .and it's fitting that one of the most prolific writers on the site write such a tribute. Happy New Year buddy!
