Song Parodies -> "Stream of Consciousness"

Original Song Title:

"Across the Universe"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Stream of Consciousness"

Parody Written by:

Phil Alexander

The Lyrics

Words are flowing out my mouth
Like puke into a china bowl
A technicolour torrent
An upcoming stream of consciousness
Mangling my metaphors
And similarly similes
Like loud laconic lizards
Lapping at a stream of consciousness

(What's he going on about? Huh?)

No one understands my words
Nobody has planned my words

Always an alliterative
Answer to a poser put
As phorty feasants phlying
Cause confusing streams of consciousness
Spooneristic wangling
Of mords that cause a luzzled pook
Timbledon and wennis,
Crawberries and stream of consciousness

(What the heck's he on about? Huh?)

Critics they have canned my words
Sometimes they even manage to scan, my words

Singing rubbish, talking crap
Expounding on expanding views
Amusing and abusing me
Psychiatric basket cases, singing
Harrisonic hymns, they stumble wildly
As they try and sing this stream of consciousness

(Psychoanalyse this, bud! Huh?)

No one understands my words
Nobody has planned my words
Critics they have canned my words
Sometimes they might scan, my words

Weird, Phil. I almost posted one very similar to this. Now I'll have to wait a few days.

ha!, and you could have used some of his original lines for the same effect - from Lucy, or Come Together, in particular - although the passage of time makes them seem perfect for some reason - 555 - great idea and execution btw

Huh? I repeat....huh? Very good, Phil; the parody equivalent of licking a Brazilian toad. 555

I don't know what the hell Phil is doing, this doesn't make any sense, on the other hand maybe that's the point, and it is funny, so maybe I should just give him fives and be done with it, except maybe I should also be the first to tell him that John Lennon would love this, and maybe George Harrison would too, and so might Ringo Starr but for different reasons, as for Paul McCartney, I'm not so sure...

I loved the (what's he going on about?huh?) line.

Which is exactly what I was thinking when I read this. but after I read it several times, I finally got it! And I think it is VERY funny! 5's. Check out my Beatles parody of the day.
