Parody Song Title:

"Governer Gray"

Parody Written by:

Charlie Decker

The Lyrics

California is mocking the United States, removing an elected official to replace him with an actor or a porn tycoon or a guy who smashes watermelons.
They will send you back where you came from
Election day will come, and you'll be gone
It is never phat
To lose a Democrat
But you weren't great...
Now it's too late...

*Chorus*
Goodbye, Governer Gray
The GOP's recalling you
Arnold will run your state someday
Then we're gonna miss you!

When the lights went out throughout your state
Citizens said that you'd sealed your fate
Reelected still
But you'll never sign another bill
They've had their fill...
*Chorus*
Ah-nold cannot lose, I've heard them say
Gray should pack his things and go away
They've shown you the gate
While mocking the whole United States
Ain't freedom great?
*Chorus X2*

The voters brought him into the governor's chair, the voters can take him out. Simple straighforward democratic principle.

BTW, I thought is was a great little parody, and whoever gave you 1's (especially on pacing) gives the Right a bad name...

If Mr. Davis had committed a real travesty (say, fabricating danger in order to justify a war for oil), then I would have no problem with his removal from office. I just can't see what he did that is so terrible that he deserves to be stipped from his elected post. Anyway, thanks for the compliment.

Good work. I noticed your remarks on my recall parody. Didn't realize the author could respond to the comments until I was looking around the site more (I'm new to "interactive" Internet stuff). You're right about the title. I had a few I was mulling around and I was focusing on the recall. 'Campaign Contributions' probably would have worked better. Thanks.
