The Lyrics

One thing the Harry Potter books make clear is that despite the hype, Dumbledore is not doing a good job......
One spell floats a feather
And one spell cures a 'roid
And the one that Lupin shows you
Sends dementors to the void
Don't ask Albus
Ask his Phoenix boid

And if you go chasing spiders
And there's no Hagrid to call
Get a car that flies and sputters way too loud
And it will save you all
Screw Albus
Sleeping in the hall

When playing wizard's chess now
And you don't have a first aid kit
And you're facing Lord Voldemort, now
And your pants are filled with s**t
Don't ask Albus
He's awful slow

When danger and destruction
Have come to Hogwarts' school
And that white beard is often clueless
Trust the kids and break every rule
Remember what the novel said:

He's a fool
He's a fool
He's a fool

Ha! Couldn't agree more, Rick. One other thing I've often wondered - why can't they fix Harry's eyes so he doesn't need glasses? Or surely Hermione could have discovered a magical contact-lens spell so Harry's not left fumbling around for his glasses whenever badness happens.

Your spell worked on me, Highlander, I cast a trio of 5's upon this magical parody.

Rick - DK much about Harry Potter stuff, but this works fine pace-wise. I'm gonna refrain from voting though, because I just have NO idea what the hell it's about. I probably ought to be more consistent about that, 'cause I know sometimes I do vote in simular situations. Still, I'm glad to see you flying "Jefferson Airplane" here, I wouldn't mind seeing more folks do some of their songs. Hey, maybe I should get off (or on?) my keister and do some myself!

Rick, Hah! fooled yah! (and myself, it appears) - after that 'spiel-smeal" comment I just made at 10:05 I hit the "Back" key to go to the previous screen and guess what? I ALREADY gave you three 5's here (on "Auto-pilot" mode, I guess) just BEFORE I decided that I didn't understand the story-line. They got recorded 'cause the vote total when was "4" and now it's "5".

Rick - I also restored the vote I made prior to the 07/28 crash. Gee, that terminology makes it sound like a historical event, "Why, you know I was THERE during the Great Crash of 07/28. Terrible, just terrible, votes scattered everywhere , you could hear the author's moans & whines - to this day they still haunt me in the night. And that poor WebMaster fellow, I think is was ChuckyG, the first one, not the son, running all around trying to gather up and restore 'em. But you, he fixed it up pretty fine, and we all survived...well, at least most of us..."

Paul...that was a hilarious comment!
Paul Robinson - July 30, 2004 - Report this comment
Adagio, thanks. Except I screwed up a little - I just noticed in the bottom corner of the screen that ChuckyG IS the 2nd one, so I should have said, "the 3rd one, not the 2nd". But that would have made more parts of my brain to be working at the particular moment...
