Parody Song Title:

"The Clintons"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Admittedly partisan, but hopefully tasteful
Clintons! Meet the Clintons!
They're the ultra liberal family!
From the town of Li'l Rock,
Better known as Bill and Hilary!

Though they've...served the maximum term limit
Still they'll...campaign in a New York minute.
If we...vote in Clinton
It's abortion on demand time
A "Rather, Dan" time
We'll have a gay marriage time!!

Funny, but the pacing was a bit off in places.

Wow, I had no idea! Sorry about that! {'¿'}

On talent alone, this may have been worth fives. But I had to dock you a point, not because of the politics, but because this was so cliche-ridden.

The Clintons are badly needed. A lot more than abortion and gay marriage is what they are all about. When Bill was in the White House he balanced the budget, payed off the national debt and there were more jobs. If Hillary is elected she may try to take up on her health care reform.

A few minor pacing problems, and some unfunniness may result in me voting 4-3-3 or 4-2-3; I haven't decided yet.

Li'l Rock was a gift, yes? I thought it was very funny (and economical) - 555

This has potential, but also problems. You're pacing's off -- some should be corrected, like "ultra-lib'ral family'. Some things don't make much sense, like 'Rather, Dan' -- what their both liberal? Weak link. Plus Hilary IS able to run again, so that's a bit sloppy/vague. Also, the piece is too short to say much -- if you're starting with a short OS, you usually have to add extra verses to say enough to make it funny, unless the stuff you DO use is really really funny. This isn't bad, just could use a bit of work.

Can't tell if your for or against the Clintons, but funny either way.

Shelly: You're right about the short-song trap. Sometimes, extra verses are needed, as in my "Ballad of Second Roles." (to "The Ballad of Jed Clampett") However... "You're pacing's off"? Well, your punctuation is off. In fact, as Hillary (two L's) would no doubt point out, it's really, really off. (A comma goes between two reallys... or would that be really's? Or reallies? I don't know if there's a rule on that.)
