Allstate Insurance is currently using this stirring French anthem to appeal to car owners who drive off while leaving stuff on the roof. It was used more explicitly and effectively a couple years ago in an ad for Dove Chocolates. This is my attempt to produce a singable English translation. Especially if it is sung by someone other than me.

No, I have no regrets
No, to the past owe no debts
The times of great hope, the times of great shame
Today, they are one and the same

I have evened the score
Bygones, they disturb me no more
Any doubts, I expelled them at last
Washed my hands of the past

All those thoughts in my mind

As I was reading this over, I noticed how it reminds me of "I Can See Clearly Now", one of my top ten favorites. Even if you didn't know French, you could tell "Je ne regrette rien" is something of significance.
