The Lyrics

The seed for this was planted while I was viewing Porfle's "Beam me Scotty", but let no man lay any blame on his shoulders for this. The fault is mine alone.
Now when I was just a lizard boy
Moulting on my daddy's knee
My papa said "Spawn, don't let the Kirk build a
Bazooka like he shot at me"
Bazooka like he shot at me
Cause he'll hurt ya
Cause he'll hurt ya, now now

Now I can remember the Fortnight of Sl'rv
Slithering through the swamplands bare
And I can still hear my ol Grandpa roaring
Boltin' down a swamp zuul there
Boltin' down a swamp zuul there

Gorn on the bayou
Gorn on the bayou
Gorn on the bayou (thith, thith)

Wish I had Kirk in the bayou
Vengeance for Daddy's defeat
Wish I had Kirk in the Gornian death hug
Just a squooshing on down till he's dead meat

Gorn on the bayou
Gorn on the bayou (thith, thith, RAA HEY!)
Gorn on the bayou (do it, do it do it)

Now I can remember the Fortnight of Sl'rv
Training for some payback there
And I can still hear that old boulder crashing
Working on my aiming there
Working on my aiming there

Gorn on the bayou
Gorn on the bayou (thith, thith, thith, thith)
Gorn on the bayou (ur-raa, hey ....)

"Working on my aim point there" probably would have worked better. This lyric, of course refers to the crucial moment in the Kirk-Gorn fight when the Gorn JUST missed Kirk with the 2 ton boulder toss. If you're not getting what's being spoofed, Google up "Youtube Worst Fight Scene Ever" That should help

Nice work-555! I did "Gorn This Way", however, last year ;-D

Gentlemen, you are too kind. I never shied away from saying I was good at punning and I believe this claim has been gorn out once again on this page. And to RA, I'm not surprised that you could pull "Gorn This Way" off. Anyone who can take "Bad Romance" and turn it into a WWII history lesson, is capable of anything

Cml, did you know that you can check latest comments, even on parodies several days (or several years) old?
(I get comments on old songs at times.) Check your "Latest Comments" page:

Been trying to reach you for a couple of days.
1) Reconsidered @ "Scat cat"
2) Explained your confusion at JAB's "Let it be". You were right to be confused -- the song was totally off-base. As said in reply to your kind comment @ my AmPie last Friday, JB "was" the best. Sad to chooose to throw that away. If you have a chance, please check out that comment.

(psst! -- get in the habit of checking your latest comments, or you'll miss some that are posted a day or two after your song is posted. Think "Time zone differences", "Different work schedules", etc. -- and the pleasant surprise of getting a nice comment at a parody posted three or four years ago, which you'll start getting eventually.)

Good eve to you, TT. First off, I was actually being a tad sarcastic about JAB's parody. I did get it. If there was any point being made there, it was that JAB was going way over the head of about 99% of the general public. And as for the comments re "Scattin' Cat", I am aware of Rhymezone -- what an asset! And I certainly didn't think you were being harsh in your comments. And I have checked out all your links, and clearly you are offering help just to help. And so, thanks for your advice

NP CML... I am an oddball here with my unique style of writing about weird subjects and lots of war material. But with nearly 1000 parodies in 11 mos, you will find just about anything ;-D
