The Lyrics

Nothing like an election year to get the parody juices flowing. Sorry I haven't been around much but my job has numbed my mind to parodies...until NOW! Willard Mitt Romney is the RNC's hopeful to dethrone the so-called Muslim, socialist, not-even-American American President. I dunno if this is his EXACT platform...but it sounds like the inner-thinking of a politician to me so...Share and Enjoy!
(I'm Mitt Romney and I approve this message)

I'd like to be
Out in D.C.
In the White House's Rose Garden as the Prez
Call a conf'rence
Open the fence
To the White House's Rose Garden for the press
They all had better address me
As "Excellency Mr. Romney"
I'd like to be
Out in D.C.
In the White House's Rose Garden as the Prez

The G.O.P.
Will be set free
Free to tax the poor and pay the upper class
Obamacare
Will be nowhere
And I'll get each welfare mother off her ass
Charisma I'll need no more
That's what I hir'd Paul Ryan for
I'd like to be
Out in D.C.
In the White House's Rose Garden as the Prez

I'd bomb Iran
Then Pakistan
Before I tell Putin, "Go to hell!" (I'd tell Putin, "Go to hell!")
Foreign oil
I'll most easily foil
Drilling til there's no more to sell (Drill til we can't sell)
I will be so happy to be me
I will be "Decider Number Two"
I'm gonna be
Out in D.C.
In the White House's Rose Garden thanks to you
In the White House's Rose Garden to rule you
In the White House's Rose Garden to screw you
Don't worry; I'll have one for Obama soon...

Nice idea - the lighter side of politics but good satire in the policies. Fun rather than funny and one or two awkward lines/extra syllables, but an enjoyable singalong. You might get one or two GOP 111-bombs, but I think it's quite inoffensive.

Now this is a political spoof that I can enjoy, and believe me, I enjoy few of them. There is a fine line between political parody and political vitriol, and few ideologues of either spectrum can recognize or appreciate that. Was cracking up by the welfare mothers line. Good job!
