The Lyrics

... Desperate men use desperate measures and lose all ethics to reach their goal. The Democrat party, desperate to win elections again - is no exception ...
Imagine there's no right wing
it's easy - sure you can
no heaven above us
below a frying pan
Imagine there's no Christians
messing up our fun
oooh oooh yum yum

Imagine there's no rules and
we can rape the kids
we can kill our babies
no business is it of "His"
Imagine all the people
doing drugs all day
and taxed for most our pay

you may say I'm a schemer
but that's just the liberal way
we fight for terrorists to down Bush
and get more nasty every day

Imagine more men die in
Iraq - that'd be so cool
and if our economy fails us
oh how our party would rule
imagine if the jobs gained
were lost and we all got poor
yippee - oh adore!

you may say I'm piranha
but we all are - every one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be Muslim.

Oh No! She's off her medication again!

Speaking of drugs. Linda, what's your take on smuggling republiViagraCans? Can't your so called non-sinners and party cum-rades get it up without chemical welfare aid? It's beginning to look as if Timothy Leary in the 60s was a no-vice compared to Rush Limbaugh in the 00s.

Song Police - you are correct - but that's not saying much as Terhune is always wrong. To "The Fair . . .", I think Looney Linda would reply by saying - "it's not as though Rush bought the drugs on a Bronx street corner." Because she's a right-wing fundamentalist - and they're the ones who are banning sex toys in their holier-than-thou states and the ones whose husbands are cheating with little boys or their barnyard animals, I think Terhune would be pro-Viagara. Besides, my guess is that it would take Viagara to make anyone consummate a relationship with Terhune; lots of Viagara.

Imagine Linda had the mental capacity and the courage to step away from the Bush/Limbaugh/Murdoch cabal, look at both sides of the issues, and then think for herself. Imagine she had the talent to write good parodies. At this point, I'd settle for either one. Even if the Congress overturns Georgie Bush's stem-cell ban this week, as has been rumored, it wouldn't help her. She's too far-gone.
I'm Great And You Suck - July 17, 2006 - Report this comment
You rule, Linda Terhune! Too bad these losers Pacholek and Immoral Liberal here are so far gone they can't get their I.Q. back above 10 between the both of them. Too bad for them, that is: for so long as these two members of the Daily Kos nutroots campaign continue to froth at the mouth and curse God and curse America and curse Bush, the voters will continue to fly away from them like dead leaves in a hurricane. Why, even in that silly AP/Ipsos poll recently which deliberately oversampled Dhimmicrats by 12 points, they couldn't get their respondants to favor Dhimmicrats by more than 11 points, meaning Dhimmicrats are actually down by a point (albeit within the margin of error) against Republicans! Ha! Pro-life Republicans are going to get right back into office in overwhelming numbers, and anti-life Dhimmicrats are going to stay stuck in their 1960s fever swamp quagmire until their party eats itself to death. Already, the cannibals are chewing on Clinton and Lieberman. Boxer is next, and others will soon fall prey to the ravenous hatreds of the child molestors and serial killers over at the Daily Kos. Just you watch!

You know the wonderful thing about not being affiliated with either major party is that I happen to be objective. I also happen to have a pretty finely tuned BS detector, which was going off constantly whilst reading this parody.

Pacing wise, you messed up the syllabic emphasis in lines 3 and 4. "no business is it of "His"" doesn't even come close to scanning to "no religion too". "and taxed for most our pay" isn't even in TOS, and trying to stretch that over "yoo-hoo-ooh-oo-ooh" is a major one at best. "and if our economy fails us" again doesn't come close to scanning correctly to "no need for greed or hunger". I could go on, but it isn't necessary; sufficed to say the pacing is pretty awful in several spots.

As for humor, I didn't laugh (even at your expense), nor smile. This isn't profound either, nor any of the other many substitutions I tend to have for the "funny" category. "we can rape the kids"; uh-huh. Literally? Figuratively? Regardless the answer, that's one of the most ridiculous lines I've ever read on this site.

I'm not voting this parody, though if I could vote the pacing alone you'd get a 3 (a low 3).

I wish you the best against your battle with the C.

4-3-3. Pacing issues, and while I am too cynical to pay attention to ANY ethics on politics (it is the results which matter, not the means by which they are gained), this song wasn't neither funny nor witty - a mediocrity at best. As a small nation citizen I am strong believer in Realpolitik: politics and ethics are two separate spheres, and best politicians have no other ethics but those needed to run the ends. I don't care if Bill Clinton porked with that bimbo or not; what I do care is that he ended the war in Yugoslavia. Both right-wingers and left-wingers are IMO just the same crooks and rats, but the left-wing politics usually produce better results on behalf of the Jane and Joe Average, while right-wing politics usually benefit only the rich.

Not only is this song horribly paced, but it is NOT FUNNY. If you are going to do a facist parody of a song, please at least do it right!

I'm Great And You Suck - apparently kool aid causes hallucinations. Keep on dreaming a-hole. By the way, when you anti-choice, homophobic, pro-war, racist, bible-thumping, right-wing fundamentalist facsists get back into office with overwhelming numbers, are you going to make the intelligent half of the country have sex with their animals like you people do? It was a good try but Terhune has no credibility because of the volume of lies she has posted; which proves that your IQ is low but your ignorance is high. Yes, Bush sucks and so do you.

I will let your responses speak for themselves - the mentality of the typical democrat is very very telling... just read their crap in any of my parodies and you'll be very enlightened to their utter hypocrasy and double-standards... No wonder they lose over and over again... Have a ball little ones!
Immoral Liberal - July 19, 2006 - Report this comment
Actually Loon, you have yet to back up anything in any of your parodies. It seems that when it gets too hot, you bolt - just like the fascist right-wing - none of you fundamentalists ever back up your lies. Speaking of mentality, how was your stay at the institution? Have they changed your medication?
Ravyn Rant - July 19, 2006 - Report this comment
Linda, you could learn a great deal about writing parodies from Michael Pacholek. If you're truly serious about parody, rather than just spewing out right-wing rhetoric, you really need to start thinking about pacing, and that's just for starters. You have a nice day now.
Reality vs Fiction - July 20, 2006 - Report this comment
The following sentence from Linda, taken from above, more than reveals an individual who can't tell reality from her own paranoid mind, it's quite fantastic in a sad kind of way:

"the mentality of the typical democrat is very very telling... just read their crap in any of my parodies and you'll be very enlightened to their utter hypocrasy and double-standards..."
