The Lyrics

Phil Alexander and I have similar brainwaves sometimes. A few days ago he posted a "stream of consciousness" parody to this song. It made me go look up the one I never posted because I liked "Across-tic Universe" better. I think that Phil just might be related to me somehow.
Nerds are crying out like mindless pain
Onto a plastic fork
They blather, smile, they gas they drip
In play across the puniverse
Fools that borrow, caves of boys are sifting
Through a dopey mime
Obsessing and depressing me

Hi. How are you? Spare change? Bummmmm
World is never gonna change
World is never gonna change

Images of token whites which prance before me
Like a billion lies
That stall me days on hold
Across the puniverse
Toss me under like a weightless rim
Behind a row of Docs
They rumble badly as they get away
Across the puniverse

Hi. How are you? Spare change? Bummmmm
World is never gonna change
World is never gonna change

Rounds of lager, maids and boys are singing
Songs of hope and cheer
Carousing and delousing me
Dimwitless keep trying love which
Grinds around me like a million volts
It turns me off again
It's gross this puniverse

I see what you mean, Rick... have to admit, I was expecting the accent to be on "pun" rather than "puny"; but maybe that's an idea for another song. This is much more "stream of consciousness" than mine, though - that first verse is sheer perfection.

Catchy, Rick...I wonder if there is some way I can get inoculated against it? 5-5-5 ~ ~ ~ & a bit of lol...
