Parody Song Title:

"Jenny Craig"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Since I mocked all the Beatle' songs several years ago, I thought I'd add them to the HUGE number that's already here. Maybe there's a few that haven't been done yet
At Jenny Craig's there is a model in a photograph
Who says that if you pay you might just look like me
And all the women waddle in to see
Unreality

At the counter is a chart that measures body fat
And the exercising bikes get heavy use
The instructors want no lame excuse
From the very loud--hefty crowd

Jenny Craig is on my lips and on my thighs
Swear that soon they'll buy a smaller size
And fit in
Meanwhile back

At Jenny Craig's there is a figure that is hourglass
And in her pocket is the proof that she was big
I seems she learned how not to be a pig
Here in Jenny's brig

(Tuba solo just like trumpet solo-only five octaves down)

Jenny Craig is on my hips and on my thighs
No more cake and chocolate pies
A bummer--meanwhile back

Behind the counter is the box that holds disclaimer forms
The pretty nurse is weighing bodies on the scale
And though she knows that most of them will fail
It's another sale

At Jenny Craig the lady sheds another couple pounds
We see a woman waiting for the weight machine
She hopes that someday she'll be trim and lean
Be like anyone--not half a ton

Jenny Craig is on my hips and on my thighs
Swear that soon they'll be a smaller size
And fit in

Jenny Craig!

Not a bad collection of Beatles songs. You should make an album or two or three. This one was really good and got some LOLs.

ALL the Beatles songs? Wow! I liked all of them that I've read but this is my favorite so far. Great stuff!

Great stuff Rick! 5-5-5

I like your collection of parodies today, Rick. I really like this one too.

Rick - you are producing them faster than I can read them. This was excellent and I hope I can catch up on my reading. But I wanted to catch up with your Gilbert & Sullivan parodies, which looked good (but I wanted to check out the originals before I voted) and I haven't done them yet.

Rick, I've seen and heard a lot of your parodies over the years, and this one is my favorite so far. 5-5-5

Sorry about that. My mother told me I shouldn't type with my mouth full. What I meant was, "Wow! This was really, really good!"

Very good.

Holy crap - I turn my back for a minute and you've submitted over 200 parodies. It will take me a while to get to them all, but it'll be worth it if they're all this good. I look forward to your parody of "Flying."

Spaff--It's actually one of seven I haven't put on. I should have a contest for whoever figures out which seven. Winner gets their parody performed in San Jose.

I guess you're not counting their covers, e.g., "Twist and Shout" and "Act Naturally." So how 'bout if I just get MOST of 'em? There's "Boys," "Mr. Moonlight," "Wild Honey Pie." And I was going to say "Revolution 9" because there's no way anyone in their right mind would parody THAT. But you proved me right.
Rick D - November 04, 2003 - Report this comment
You're right, no covers. I did "Wild Honey Pie" (I think) and it's just as stupid as the original. I got good votes for "#9". I'm posting "Hello Goodbye" tomorrow, that leaves six songs I just can't seem to do much with. Two are by Harrison. I'll see if anyone gets them in a few days, or if anyone cares.

We now have this parody (along with several originals) posted on this here website: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/3/radandmadmusic.htm The recording was done very quickly on an eight track that had seen better days, around 1997

Rick, caught this with the random button. This one tips the scale at 555.

(ABC) That's hilarious. Great title/idea, great execution. I love the idea of the weight loss failures being yet another "ka-ching!" into the Craig coffers. Plus "waddling in to see... unreality" is great also.

And is that tuba supposed to sound like an elephant? What are you trying to say, Michael? Huh?
Leo Jay - June 29, 2004 - Report this comment
And why did I call you 'Michael'? I have no idea... Sorry ;-)

So - back to our November exchange: Have you done 'em all yet? If not, I may have to hunker down with some cake and finger, er, chocolate pies, and figure out the missing ones.

I still love it. (The first verse, especially, this time.) Did you ever see my July 4 comment? Did you leave any of 'em undone? Huh? Huh?

Hmm...Maybe the real reason you retired is so that you don't have to answer annoying fan mail.

There are three by my count that do have parodies, but I considered too crappy to post. I believe John Barry has done a better job with them. Maybe I'll dig them out now and put them on, since I'm on a leave.

Can't believe I never voted or commented on this one...heck, it was on that Parody recording you & Mari made back in December, 2003 that included a bit out of one of my pieces. I loved this when I heard it back then. Still do...5's ~ ~ ~

Just for fun, I've decided to see if I can dig up an AmiRight Classic of the Day, every day, until I get tired of it. This is the first one, IMO one of the best by the great Rick Duncan.
