The Lyrics

I already insulted John Kerry with my parody "Kerry" which makes fun of his flip-flopping and his physical appearance.......so......now.......it's EQUAL TIME, folks!
Hello Mudya
Hello Fadya
Here's Dubya at
Camp Davudya

Having fun with
Veep Dick Cheney
Microwaving popcorn gives his chest a painy

I went hiking
With Don Rummy
The skunks loved him
Got real chummy

You remember
Colin Powell
He's been fired and replaced with a barn owl

Secret Service
They were great men
Hiked before me
And bears ate them

Condoleeza
Is no sissy
Beat my pants off at ping-pong and I got pissy

Now we've got locked
In our sauna
That Bin Laden
Guy Osama

We'll pull him out
In September
To deflate John Kerry's tax-and-spender-member

Rake me votes
Oh Mudya Fadya
Rake me votes
Re-e-lect Dubya
Don't leave me
Out in Flor-i-da Dad,
I might,
Get beaten by a chad

Rake me votes
I promise I won't sow wild oats
Like Clinton did with girls and goats
We must stop Kerry's push
Or I'm
A One-Term-Bush

Dearest Fadya
Darling Mudya
Won't you help your
Precious Dubya?

Constitution
Needs amending
Schwarzenegger's run for President is pending

Wait a minute
No one's bombing
Peace is coming
World is calming
No more terror
No more warring
Let John Kerry have this job now, it's so boring

I like the barn owl line too

Me too! I never saw the resemblance until now! And the Fadya and Mudya is especially clever!
Adagio - July 14, 2004 - Report this comment
Very good!! I'm glad you're taking pot shots at both sides, I wouldn't want you just on the opposing team. :D 5's

Ive used the Swedish version of this song for parody (in Swedish) more than once. Or at least thats what I think. When I look at the pacing structure here its the same as "hejsan morsan, hejsan stabben" which is (somewhat old) Swedish slang for "hallo mother, hallo father". I taking a (not so) wild guess that they are the same and base my pacing judgement on that, so heres 555. Ever heard of Cornelis Vreesvijk? This makes me curious to who was the original writer. I know Cornelis translated some other stuff so Im guessing its "your" guy though.

I'd call Allen Sherman the Sultan of Salami, but Bush might declare him part of the Axis of Evil. Of course, as Johnny D has taught us, the real "Sultan of Salami" is... a certain long, long, I mean LONG shoreman from Deetroit. And as song hints go, that one's bigger than most.

Brilliant as always, Johnny. 555 because that's as high as the scale goes! "To deflate John Kerry's tax-and-spender member," Oy!

Loads of funnies, JD... Very good indeed :-)
John Jenkins - July 15, 2004 - Report this comment
I agree with all of the previous comments, but "beaten by a chad" might be my favorite line.

Thanks very much, everybody! ;-D

Kristof Robertson: Aw shucks, thanks KR!
Royce Miller: Glad to hear it! That barn owl seems like a popular image!
Ashkicksass: You know, I wasn't consciously thinking about how Colin Powell actually does kind of resemble an owl....he does, come to think of it!
Adagio: I'm an InDependsDent - that means BOTH parties get me pissed!
MasonR: Thanks - but poor bears, those pocket-sized machine-guns must've given 'em major indigestion!
Cookie-man: You said it all, C-man, thanks!
Know 1 can hear you dream: I haven't heard of Cornelis Vreesvijk. Among Americans of my generation, "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah" is pretty much a comedy classic...I'd be surprised if Sherman didn't write it. But I don't know for sure...does anyone?
alvin Rhodes: Thank you, AAAAAALLLVIIIINNNN ! No, wait a minute, that's David Seville.
Michael Pacholek: All right, here we go yet again:

The legend lives on from A.Sherman on down
Of the fictional camp called Granada
Where counselors roam the camp red-eyed and stoned
From a tea that sure ain't called Salada.

Stray Pooch: Oy is right! Mazel Tov!
Phil Alexander: Thank you, Sir Philbo The Furry-Footed! You are truly a Halfling amongst Hobbits!
John Jenkins: Thanks JJ.

You labeled this from the 60s, thats partly why I asked, the Swedish version is from the 60s too, as far as I know.

I'm a little behind in my voting so I just found this one. This is hilarious! Love the bears line and the chad line best! :-D
