The Lyrics

I made this in response to ASCAP allegedly bullying our good comrade Below Average Dave with regards to his parodies. Some of the lines from the original song are still intact, but I'm sure you'll get the message.
[Intro]
ah ah ah ah

Some live just for fun
But Dave's on the run
They whine for the bill
Ask for the bill
(Oppressing all the parodists)
They ask for the bill, but Dave won't pay their bill
(and oppressing all the parodists)
Bad Dave, Matthias, L.P., we won't pay the bill

[Verse 1]
High school he was that guy that make me do them parodies at Am I Right
(Cause I'm really bored again, bored again)
High school he was that guy that make me do them parodies at Am I Right
(Cause I'm really bored again, bored again)
Never thought that he would wind up with all them royalties
For all his parodies (why my parodies?)
He thought he'd call (why my parodies?)
His name is David, Bad Dave, parodist, humorist
All he wanna know is is (why my parodies?)
Wrote spoofs in good faith, record here and publish there
All he wanna know is (why my parodies?)
He ended up in a lawsuit, messed up, scarred hard
All he wanna know is (why my parodies?)
He thought he'd call (why my parodies?)

[Chorus (x2)]
See I'mma tell you like Dave told me
ASCAP's bickering around me
Singin' paro-parody y'all (paro-parody y'all)
Singin' paro-parody y'all (paro-parody y'all)

[Verse 2]
Writing' got harder cos, feds got dumber
Am I Right is something they don't wanna be a part of
Why would we pay royalties, this is just unfair
Then triple times the money and spending it like they greedy
They got they mind on they money, money on they mind
They turn their finger on us people, all us to blame
See everyday we feel them pressure, yet even now they whine
And ain't nobody takin' from us, and that's the bottom line

But I know what we do is fair use
You write songs
You end up getting abused
You don't want, just to lay low
Because takin' it to court's no joke
To all my real Am I Right artists
On top of corners every day strugglin'
All the overzealous people getting' money
Washin' them dollar bills like laundry

[Chorus (x2)]
See I'mma tell you like Dave told me
ASCAP's bickering around me
Singin' paro-parody y'all (paro-parody y'all)
Singin' paro-parody y'all (paro-parody y'all)

[Bridge]
Money, money-money-money
Money, money-money-money
It drives the world crazy

[Verse 3]
B.A. Dave...
Why bother all our parodies?

Oppressing all the parodists ever
Now we like under a dictator
We were oppressed to the point like we're monsters
And if you go to court we will be under the weather
I used to write spoofs back in high school
Now they piss off the crap at our stools
Dave takes a loss cos he don't wanna see her site lose
So respect us, I don't care cause it's fair use
And then he runs for the lawyer
And he tells me they can't claim on us writers
But I feel no different after
And then he asks him... why my parodies?

[Chorus (x2)]
See I'mma tell you like Dave told me
ASCAP's bickering around me
Singin' paro-parody y'all (paro-parody y'all)
Singin' paro-parody y'all (paro-parody y'all)

[Outro]
Some live just for fun
But Dave's on the run (oh why my parodies?)
They whine for the bill
Ask for the bill (oh why my parodies?)
They ask for the bill, but Dave won't pay their bill (oh why my parodies?)
Bad Dave, Matthias, L.P., we won't pay the bill
(oh why my parodies?)

You picked a real tough song to do this too, thank you LPG-Unit, I tried to balance out the one votes a tad. Not sure who would one vote a topic so important to parody in general, but oh well.

Gee, thanks, Dave... Was thinking of this as soon as I heard of the ASCAP fiasco, so I decided on giving this one a shot. It was a little crappy if you ask me, since I find it hard to replace the whole song with completely new lyrics, hence the fact that there are some original lines on it. But at least it worked.
